… Let’s Go Exploring!

Thus said Calvin to Hobbes as they went sledding down virgin snow and off into the woods in their very last cartoon strip, on New Year’s Eve back in 1995.  Inspired by their youthful exuberance, that was the day I founded MidStep Centers for Child Development – with a dream of operating the highest quality child and adolescent psychology group practice in and around State College, PA.  

That Calvin and Hobbes cartoon is still framed and hanging on my office wall, and MidStep has grown into a thriving practice of half a dozen child psychologists meeting the mental health needs of families throughout central Pennsylvania.

A baker’s dozen years have gone by (hey, I’m the son and grandson of bakers!), and now I am embarking on a new adventure, equally dedicated to serving kids and families, but with a slightly different bent.  Today, as I arrive at Ali Brown’s LAST EVER Online Success Blueprint Workshop in Los Angeles, I am unveiling a new baby born from MidStep, but going far beyond with a bolder mission to promote family wellness and child success across the country.

Welcome to KidStep Coaching and Consulting, my new national speaking and coaching practice!  In the coming months and years, I look forward to reaching out to kids, parents, and teachers all across America who want to overcome developmental challenges and life stressors in order to help children fulfill their life dreams and their greatest potentials.

As the Greatest Love of All begins, “I believe that children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way.  Show them all the beauty they possess inside, and give them a sense of pride…”

I look forward to doing that, with your help, as I roll out my parent and teacher workshops, teleclasses, family wellness retreats, family coaching programs, parenting toolkits, and more in the coming year.

It all starts next month with the launching of my e-zine “KidStep Connections” – filled with inspirational stories, professional advice, and practical tips for busy parents.

All this with the mission of HELPING KIDS SUCCEED IN LIFE.

That’s why I’m here at Ali’s OSBW  - to learn how to most effectively get my message out there into the world.  You see, with my remaining days on this planet, I’m out to change my world.  The mission is pretty simple, really: HELPING KIDS SUCCEED IN LIFE!  As many as I possibly can.
